JCL & ISPF Courses
- z/OS JCL and Utilities (3 days)
- Students learn to code and test JCL needed to run test and production batch jobs, use the common utility programs, and use the sort/merge product. (MVS and OS/390 JCL and Utilities also available)
- z/OS Fundamentals: TSO/ISPF and JCL (5 days)
- Students learn to use TSO/ISPF including the full screen editor, job submission and monitoring facilities, utility functions, and productivity features such as command stacking and split screen processing. Students also learn to code and test JCL needed to run test and production batch jobs, use the common utility programs, and use the sort/merge product. (MVS Fundamentals: TSO/ISPF and JCL also available)
- Advanced Topics in JCL (3 days)
- Experienced programmers learn the basics of XML, XSL, XSLT, Schemas, and DTDs.
TSO & REXX Courses
- TSO/ISPF in z/OS (3 days)
- Students learn to use TSO/ISPF including the full screen editor, job submission and monitoring facilities, utility functions, and productivity features such as command stacking and split screen processing. (Introduction to TSO/ISPF also available)
- Advanced ISPF (2 days)
- Expands upon student's existing ISPF knowledge including: ISPF commands, CUA interface, command retrieval tools, new features of ISPF and the editor, and edit macros.
- z/OS Fundamentals: TSO/ISPF and JCL (5 days)
- Students learn to use TSO/ISPF including the full screen editor, job submission and monitoring facilities, utility functions, and productivity features such as command stacking and split screen processing. Students also learn to code and test JCL needed to run test and production batch jobs, use the common utility programs, and use the sort/merge product. (MVS Fundamentals: TSO/ISPF and JCL also available)
- TSO REXX Programming in z/OS (5 days)
- Students learn to use TSO commands and to use the powerful capabilities of the REXX language. REXX statements needed to develop useful REXX execs are practiced as part of hands-on exercises.(TSO REXX Programming also available)
- Advanced TSO REXX Programming (2 days)
- Students will be able to design and maintain application programs using native TSO commands and the REXX language. Exercises may be accomplished using COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.
- TSO CLIST Programming in z/OS (4 days)
- Students learn to use TSO commands and to use the powerful capabilities of the CLIST language. (TSO CLIST Programming also available)
- Dialog Manager using TSO CLIST or TSO REXX (5 days)
- Students create and maintain dialog manager programs using native TSO commands and either TSO CLIST or TSO REXX.
